  1. The parcels of privately owned land that contain the last remnants of the Shockoe Hill African Burying Ground, 1305 N. 5th Street, will be sold at the city's tax sale today at 2 pm.
  2. The Valentine Studio Project is an overhaul and re-imagining of the Edward Valentine's studio--the place where Valentine sculpted many 19th and early 20th century public art supporting white supremacy and the Southern post-civil war Lost Cause ideology. The planning committee includes project coordinator Christina Vida (Valentine curator), historian Julian Hayter (University of Richmond), cultural writer Josh Epperson (joshepperson.com), descendant Will Valentine, and SGP chair Ana Edwards.
