COVID-19 Pandemic

Wash your hands. Don't touch your face. Carry sanitizer. Stay home or away from group events. Check on family, friends or neighbors who live alone. Stock up on food and necessities, but not at the expense of your neighbors. (The only reason there is a TP shortage is because people have bought far more than they need now)

Check the CDC website for national updates on the pandemic. The Virginia Department of Health site includes the Richmond Department of Health updates.

Facing hunger or homelessness? Download Homeward's Street Sheet for the Richmond Region. Visit homewardva.org for Street Sheets for the surrounding counties.

Call 211 or visit 211virginia.org for regional human services information.

July 17: Shockoe Alliance Community Meeting #2

Please plan to attend the second public meeting of the Shockoe Alliance.

6 - 8 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2019
Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School
1000 Mosby St, Richmond, Virginia 23223

The meeting's format will be round-table discussions about the input from the last meeting and to distill those inputs into concrete guidelines for redevelopment of SB resources, especially around African American cultural heritage resources. Updates on current projects in SB will also be provided, and members of the Alliance will be on hand (as facilitators, scribes and audience members) to answer questions. Bring your questions!

The Sacred Ground Project looks forward to seeing you there, and hope you will continue to help push for the ideas we have been championing in Shockoe Bottom for the last fifteen years.

Visit the Facebook Event page to RSVP.
